The Best Vegan Chocolate Banana Bread
Anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE chocolate. I’m an addict I can admit it. However, this addiction and an abundance of very ripe bananas in my house led me to create the best chocolate banana bread. Another plus about this recipe: it’s vegan, refined sugar free, and you can make it gluten free. It’s also extremely easy to make, read below for instructions!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour (can use gluten free if you wish)
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 bananas, very ripe
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a loaf pan with wax paper
- In a large bowl add the dry ingredients, minus the chocolate chips, and mix them together
- In a medium sized bowl add the bananas and mash them with a fork
- Add the rest of the wet ingredients to the medium bowl and mix them together
- Add the wet ingredients to the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well
- Fold the chocolate chips into the batter
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan and put it in the oven for 40 minutes or until a knife comes out clean from the center of the bread
